Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Perform daily delivery schedule arrangements and optimize logistics to meet operational requirements.
- Conduct monthly stock entries and maintain accurate inventory records to support planning and control.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving any discrepancies before processing for payment.
- Maintain and develop strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved service.
- Assist in supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation of terms, pricing, and service agreements.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as warehouse, production, and finance to ensure seamless material flow and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a Purchasing, Procurement, or Logistics role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Transport, or Logistics industry.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with purchasing software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a significant advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of urgency.
