Responsibilities
- Oversee and streamline the end-to-end procurement process for materials, equipment, and services.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the purchasing staff to ensure department goals are met.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate complex contracts and pricing agreements to achieve significant cost savings and favorable terms.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the Logistics and Manufacturing departments to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
- Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of compliance and ethics.
- Prepare regular procurement reports and budget forecasts for senior management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of professional experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Solid experience within the Manufacturing, Transport, or Logistics industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and manage vendor contracts effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model and manage a team in a remote/on-site environment.
