uhomes.com is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Engineer to lead the quality assurance and control initiatives for our construction projects in Palawan, Mimaropa. In this pivotal role, you will establish, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with international standards and project specifications. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest levels of safety, durability, and regulatory compliance. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing across various construction phases, from foundation works to finishing touches. You will identify non-conformances, develop corrective action plans, and monitor their effectiveness. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports, maintain quality documentation, and provide training to site personnel on quality protocols and best practices. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and client requirements.
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and material testing to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations; initiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and submit accurate quality reports, inspection records, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are communicated and met.
- Provide training and mentorship to site staff on quality procedures, safety standards, and best practices.
- Monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all quality activities comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001, and construction standards.
- Proficient in conducting inspections, tests, and audits of construction materials and works.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification in QA/QC, Six Sigma, or related quality disciplines is a plus.
- Willingness to be based in Palawan, Mimaropa and travel to project sites as required.
