Job Description
Pekat is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johor Bahru. In this contract role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and compliance across our manufacturing and logistics operations.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, conducting inspections, and analysing data to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures in line with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
- Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, SPC, and other quality tools to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools, measurement equipment, and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Strong problemāsolving skills with the ability to identify trends and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
