OHTA Precision, a premier provider of precision manufacturing solutions, is seeking an experienced and dynamic QA/QC Senior Supervisor to lead our quality assurance and control department in Kajang, Selangor. In this critical leadership role, you will be the guardian of product excellence, ensuring every component leaving our facility meets the highest industry standards.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will take full ownership of the daily QA/QC operations, driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for managing a team of inspectors and technicians, meticulously overseeing incoming, in-process, and final inspections. You will utilize advanced metrology equipment and statistical process control tools to monitor production quality. A key aspect of this role involves leading Root Cause Analysis sessions to identify deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and liaising directly with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
As the champion of our Quality Environmental Management System (QEMS), you will drive the compliance and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. You will plan and conduct internal audits, prepare for external certification audits, and ensure that all documentation accurately reflects our robust quality processes. Your expertise will be crucial in new product introductions (NPI), ensuring quality is embedded from the design stage through to mass production.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of QA/QC Inspectors and Technicians to achieve departmental quality objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (QEMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Manage all aspects of product inspection, including incoming raw materials, in-process production, and final outgoing quality control.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to investigate non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance product quality and reduce operational waste.
- Prepare and present detailed quality reports and dashboards to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
- Conduct internal quality system audits, facilitate external certification audits, and support supplier quality development programs.
- Lead the quality aspect of new product introductions (NPI), ensuring all quality criteria are met before production ramp-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC within a high-precision manufacturing environment (e.g., machining, automotive, aerospace, electronics).
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards; Lead Auditor certification is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in Root Cause Analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to interface effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (CMM, OMM, profile projectors, hardness testers, surface roughness testers).
