Vitamax Food International is looking for an experienced QA & RND Assistant Manager/Manager to oversee and enhance the companyâs Quality Assurance system, ensuring that all products meet stringent food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. In this pivotal role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead crossâfunctional teams, and maintain compliance with international standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, and GMP. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the companyâs Quality Assurance framework aligned with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards.
- Lead daily QA operations, including monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring product conformity.
- Plan and execute internal audits, supplier evaluations, and customer audits; prepare reports and track corrective actions.
- Support R&D activities by validating new product formulations, conducting shelfâlife studies, and ensuring compliance with labeling regulations.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance yield.
- Manage and mentor a team of QA technicians and assistants, fostering skill development and performance excellence.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues promptly and prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on local and international food safety regulations, ensuring timely compliance and reporting to authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the food manufacturing or processing industry.
- Proven knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, BRC, or equivalent food safety standards.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian food safety regulations (MOH, JAKIM, etc.) and international requirements.
- Excellent auditing skills with experience in conducting internal and supplier audits.
- Ability to interpret data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in QA software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
