Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for insurance system modules.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects, performance bottlenecks, and usability issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, business) to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Log, track, and verify defects using industry-standard tools; prioritize issues based on severity and business impact.
- Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure system stability after updates.
- Analyze test results, generate comprehensive reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing enterprise applications.
- Proven experience testing insurance systems (policy, claims, billing) or other financial/regulatory domains.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
