The National Food Authority is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Officer/Classifier to join our team in the Ilocos Region. You will conduct inspections, classify commodities according to established criteria, and maintain accurate records to support regulatory compliance.
Working closely with production, logistics, and regulatory teams, you will help implement HACCP and ISO 22000 protocols, identify nonâconformities, and recommend corrective actions. Your analytical skills will be essential in monitoring trends, preparing reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and sampling of food commodities to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Classify and grade agricultural products based on established National Food Authority criteria.
- Maintain detailed inspection logs, test results, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in the implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food safety management systems.
- Identify deviations, nonâconformities, and potential hazards; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Stay updated on relevant food safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or food inspection.
- Knowledge of Philippine food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report generation using MS Office or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problemâsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastâpaced government environment.
- Willingness to travel within the Ilocos Region for field inspections as required.
