Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects.
- Monitor project progress and report on any variations in costs or project scope.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and verify claims from sub-contractors.
- Manage procurement processes and negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors to optimize margins.
- Prepare and analyze monthly progress reports and financial statements for management review.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with consultants and project teams to resolve technical and financial discrepancies.
- Finalize project accounts and prepare detailed final reports upon completion.
Qualifications
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction sector.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, legal frameworks, and building material costs.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to negotiate effectively with stakeholders and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
