Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress and report on any variations in costs or project scope.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and verify claims from sub-contractors.
  • Manage procurement processes and negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors to optimize margins.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly progress reports and financial statements for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, building regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with consultants and project teams to resolve technical and financial discrepancies.
  • Finalize project accounts and prepare detailed final reports upon completion.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction sector.
  • Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, legal frameworks, and building material costs.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to negotiate effectively with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
