Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, tenders, and contract documents for diverse construction projects.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify work performed against contractual obligations.
- Manage sub-contractor accounts, including the preparation of progress claims and final account settlements.
- Perform detailed measurement and take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications.
- Ensure project costs are maintained within the allocated budget through rigorous financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Facilitate the procurement process by sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to resolve contractual or financial disputes.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a construction or interior fit-out environment.
- Proficiency in BQ preparation, cost management, and contract administration (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA).
- Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
