Weima Builders Pte. Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about construction cost management and project delivery excellence.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing both pre- and post-contract administration to ensure accurate tender submissions, cost control, and successful project completion. You will be responsible for subcontractor sourcing and comprehensive project documentation, working closely with project managers and site teams to deliver projects within budget and timeline constraints.
This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise in cost planning, estimation, and financial management will directly contribute to the success of our construction projects in the North-East Region of Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre-contract administration including cost planning, budgeting, and tender documentation preparation
- Handle post-contract administration such as valuation of work done, payment certifications, and final account settlements
- Conduct accurate cost estimating and tender submissions for construction projects
- Implement effective cost control measures throughout project lifecycle
- Source and evaluate subcontractors, preparing tender documents and comparing quotations
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including variations, claims, and progress reports
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to resolve cost-related issues
- Prepare cost reports and financial statements for management review
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, SIA contracts)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and market conditions is advantageous
