Join Scheirman Construction Consolidated Inc., a trusted name in building and infrastructure projects, as a Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical / Civil Engineer) in Cainta, Rizal. This role supports project execution from concept to completion, ensuring accurate cost control, efficient material planning, and disciplined labor management. You will collaborate with engineers, procurement teams, and site leaders to optimize project value while safeguarding safety and quality on every phase.
As a key member of the project team, you will develop and maintain robust cost plans, perform quantity takeoffs for mechanical and civil works, prepare detailed estimates, and monitor budgets against actual spend. You will evaluate bids, prepare tender documents, and provide procurement recommendations to achieve the best value. You will also manage change orders, track variations, and produce timely reporting to stakeholders.

In addition to cost control, you will maintain meticulous documentation, collaborate on value engineering opportunities, and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. You will use estimation software and MS Excel to model scenarios, generate reports, and present findings to leadership. The position offers mentorship from senior engineers, opportunities to lead cost-control initiatives, and a path toward professional licensure support where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze quantity takeoffs for mechanical and civil works using drawings, specifications, and BOQ.
- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans across the project lifecycle.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and support procurement with cost-based recommendations.
- Monitor and control project costs by tracking variations, quantity changes, and change orders.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design solutions meet budget and schedule constraints.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards; maintain audit trails and project documentation.
- Provide regular cost reporting to project managers and stakeholders; identify value engineering opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor or cost estimator in construction (mechanical and civil works).
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, procurement, contracts, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost-management software; experience with project management tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- PRC-licensed engineer is preferred; professional registration is an asset.
