Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for various construction projects.
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure projects remain within budget while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and process progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify work done against measurements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve contractual and financial disputes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project-related contracts and financial records.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in a main contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA) and measurement methods (SMM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and construction management software.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
