As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for prospecting new business, expanding existing relationships, and partnering with product specialists to cross-sell a full suite of financial services including deposits, lending, cash management, foreign exchange, trade finance, and investment solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating client needs into practical, compliant solutions aligned with the bank's risk framework and regulatory standards.

In addition to delivering exceptional client service, you will work closely with risk and compliance teams to ensure adherence to MAS guidelines and StanChart risk standards. You will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client profitability to inform strategy and pricing decisions. The role includes regular client reviews, pipeline management, and renewal planning to maximize revenue while protecting the bank’s reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a diverse portfolio of corporate and high-net-worth client relationships in Singapore, focusing on revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  • Prospect, win, and expand new business by leveraging networks, referrals, and targeted outreach to achieve quarterly targets.
  • Assess client needs and deliver tailored financial solutions across deposits, credit, cash management, liquidity, FX, trade finance, and wealth products.
  • Collaborate with product, credit, and risk teams to deliver end-to-end service, accurate pricing, and compliant cross-selling.
  • Maintain rigorous KYC, due diligence, and regulatory compliance in line with MAS guidelines and StanChart policies; monitor risk exposures and escalate as needed.
  • Conduct regular client reviews, prepare proposals and pricing, negotiate terms, monitor progress, and drive relationship deepening and renewal planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (CFA, CFP, CA) preferred.
  • 3+ years of Relationship Management or client advisory experience in banking or financial services; Singapore experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS regulations, AML/KYC standards, risk management, and controls.
  • Proven track record of revenue growth, client acquisition, and cross-selling across banking products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to build relationships with senior client contacts.
  • Proficiency with banking platforms, CRM tools, and financial analysis; ability to prepare compelling client proposals.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) beneficial.
