Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary mental health team
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments via telepsychiatry platforms to evaluate mental health status and treatment progress
- Coordinate seamless communication between patients, psychiatrists, psychologists, and allied healthcare professionals
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and clinical interventions in compliance with healthcare standards
- Implement and enforce clinical protocols and quality assurance measures for telepsychiatry services
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Monitor patient outcomes and recommend adjustments to care plans based on clinical findings
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education programs related to mental health nursing
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current professional credentials and good standing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing settings
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to recognize and respond to mental health crises appropriately
- Proficiency in using telehealth technologies, electronic health records (EHR), and virtual collaboration platforms
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of evidence-based mental health nursing practices and psychiatric assessment tools
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently in a remote healthcare environment
