Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and assessments for patients across various age groups.
- Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history and clinical findings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for all patient encounters.
- Provide preventative health advice, health education, and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic workflow.
- Prescribe medications and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory, imaging) in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Manage chronic conditions and follow-up care for long-term patient health.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations and clinical safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Possess a Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Must be fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a primary care or hospital setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
- Willingness to work in a rotating shift schedule if required.
