Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with WSH acts, regulations, and company policies.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Organize and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and safety induction programs for all site personnel.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive safety reports, risk assessments, and method statements to relevant authorities and management.
- Ensure all necessary permits-to-work (PTW) are in place and adhered to for high-risk activities.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as MOM (Ministry of Manpower) and relevant authorities, on WSH matters.
- Promote a strong safety culture among all employees and contractors on site.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certificate or equivalent recognized by MOM Singapore.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in WSH coordination or management, specifically within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to independently manage and oversee site safety operations.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training.
- Proactive, meticulous, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
