Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and protocols in accordance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential workplace hazards.
- Lead safety orientation and training programs for new and existing employees to ensure a safety-first mindset.
- Maintain and update all required safety documentation, logs, and compliance reports.
- Investigate all workplace incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate documentation and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage the procurement and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the workforce.
- Facilitate emergency response drills and ensure all safety equipment is in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.
- Must possess a valid BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) or COSH training certification.
- Deep understanding of Philippine DOLE regulations and OSH standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence safety behavior.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform detailed risk assessments.
- Proficiency in computer applications for reporting and administrative tasks.
