Smarthire by SEEK is looking for a results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Bangi, Selangor. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and business development, supporting our sales pipeline by delivering solution-based proposals to prospective clients. You'll work closely with the sales and product teams to identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, and translate them into compelling, tailored solutions.

Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying potential customers in the assigned territory.
- Conduct technical product demonstrations and present solution proposals to clients, addressing both business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals while maintaining healthy profit margins.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM system.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Provide post-sale technical support and ensure smooth handover to the implementation team.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in an IT or technology environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Malay is a plus.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and own transport to cover the Selangor region is preferred.
