What youâll do includes hunting for new business, nurturing relationships, preparing quotes, and closing deals that meet revenue targets. Youâll monitor industry trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy. You will maintain meticulous CRM records, provide regular performance updates to leadership, and represent Soonest Express with professionalism at client meetings and industry events. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to secure new business in air, ocean, and co-load freight segments.
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline; convert inbound inquiries and close deals to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners to drive repeat business.
- Prepare competitive quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure accurate, timely execution of freight bookings.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure on-time pickups, transit, and delivery with high service levels.
- Expand cross-sell opportunities across Air, Ocean, and Co-Load services; upsell value-added solutions.
- Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence, and trend insights to support pricing and strategy.
- Maintain high-quality CRM records and generate periodic performance reports for management.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
- Strong knowledge of air, ocean, and co-load freight processes, incoterms, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships and manage multi-stakeholder accounts.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office; data-driven decision making.
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
