Prudential Group is seeking a dedicated Sales Surveillance Officer for a two-year contract based in our Pasir Panjang office. This is a pivotal role within our compliance and risk management division, where you will play a key part in safeguarding our reputation and ensuring that our sales advisory standards remain industry-leading.

As a Sales Surveillance Officer, you will work closely with the Lead to administer the conduct risk framework and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework. In an evolving regulatory landscape, your insights and vigilance will help us maintain transparency and trust with our clients. You will be responsible for identifying potential risks, analyzing sales patterns, and ensuring that all financial advisory activities align with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and execute the Conduct Risk Framework to monitor and mitigate risks associated with sales practices.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework for the sales force, ensuring accurate performance grading.
  • Conduct regular surveillance reviews of sales transactions and advisory documents to ensure compliance with MAS regulations.
  • Identify and investigate irregularities or potential misconduct in sales activities, providing detailed reports to management.
  • Collaborate with the Lead to set and refine sales advisory standards and internal compliance policies.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Agency Leaders and Sales Management, to provide feedback on conduct findings.
  • Support the preparation of periodic compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in compliance, sales surveillance, or internal audit within the banking or insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, including the Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and MAS guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and stakeholder management.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
