Join Mindteck as an SAP EHS Functional Expert in Penang. This contract role centers on SAP Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) within SAP S/4HANA, requiring 8–10 years of hands-on EHS experience and a proven track record with S/4HANA implementations. You will partner with business leaders to design, configure, and optimize EHS processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver value through robust, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical SAP configurations, reports, and workflows, while providing clear stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to multi-site initiatives, drive process improvements, and support a seamless go-live with post-go-live support.
As part of Mindteck's technology and engineering services, you will help standardize EHS processes across environments, define KPIs, and implement continuous improvement strategies. You will engage cross-functional teams including EHS, IT, and Compliance to align SAP solutions with business objectives, while ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and security. The role also involves collaboration on data migration, integration with other SAP modules, and support for upgrades and enhancements. Responsibilities
- Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EHS modules within SAP S/4HANA
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP EHS processes
- Create and execute functional specifications, test scripts, and data migration strategies for EHS initiatives
- Configure Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Environmental Health and Safety components
- Support integration with SAP QM, Plant Maintenance, and external systems
- Provide end-to-end testing, user training, and knowledge transfer
- Offer post go-live hypercare support and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with local and regional EHS regulations, including Malaysia-specific requirements
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of SAP EHS functional experience, focused on EHS modules
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Deep knowledge of Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Environment modules within SAP EHS
- Proven ability to gather requirements, map business processes, and deliver functional designs
- Experience with data migration, testing, and cutover activities
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field; certifications in SAP EHS are a plus
