Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade SD-WAN solutions across diverse geographical locations.
- Lead the transition and integration from legacy MPLS/WAN architectures to software-defined environments.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline network provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and security teams to ensure high availability, redundancy, and performance optimization.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex network latency, connectivity, and routing issues.
- Stay current with emerging trends in SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and cloud-delivered network services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in network engineering, specifically focusing on WAN/SD-WAN design and implementation.
- Expertise in major SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela/Meraki, VMware VeloCloud, or Fortinet.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network security stacks (Firewalls, VPN, SASE).
- Experience with cloud networking architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualized network functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interface with stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, PCNSA, or similar) are highly desirable.
