As a Security, Safety & Compliance Executive, you will take ownership of site-wide security protocols, health and safety regulations, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive security and safety policies to protect company assets and personnel.
- Conduct regular site risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and oversee the performance of security personnel and external security vendors.
- Ensure full compliance with local occupational safety and health (OSH) regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain readiness for fire, safety, and security-related incidents.
- Investigate security breaches, safety incidents, or accidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for future prevention.
- Maintain and update site security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring protocols.
- Liaise with local authorities and external bodies regarding safety and compliance matters as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a security, safety, or compliance-focused role within a corporate or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian OSH regulations and relevant safety certification standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive during emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in security technology systems, CCTV surveillance, and incident reporting software.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
- Possession of relevant safety certifications (e.g., SHO certification) is considered a significant advantage.
