Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new market segments and geographic expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic partnership agreements with key industry players.
- Lead the endâtoâend sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align offerings with customer needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies.
- Mentor and coach junior business development representatives to achieve team targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or B2B sales, preferably in the manufacturing or trading sector.
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data analysis tools.
- Ability to travel within Penang and occasionally overseas as required.
