Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate crew assignments for vessels, ensuring optimal staffing levels and proper crew rotation
- Manage vessel manning operations, including recruitment, selection, and placement of qualified seafarers
- Oversee crew welfare programs and initiatives to ensure high morale and job satisfaction
- Handle all crew documentation, including contracts, certifications, and compliance records
- Prepare, monitor, and control crew-related budgets to ensure cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- Act as the primary point of contact for crew members, addressing concerns and resolving issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless vessel operations and crew management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in crewing operations or maritime HR management
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and crewing practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective crew management
- Proficiency in crew management software and MS Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in challenging situations
- Valid seafarer certification or equivalent industry qualifications preferred
