BC Solutions is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions. We are currently on the lookout for a visionary Senior Data Engineer to lead our data initiatives from our headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
This is a unique opportunity to work on an AU shift schedule, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly with our Australian partners and stakeholders in real-time. You will be the architect of our data future, tasked with designing and implementing robust, scalable data systems that empower our teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own the end-to-end data lifecycle. From data ingestion and pipeline construction to advanced analytics and machine learning model deployment, your work will be foundational to our success. You will translate complex business requirements into technical architectures, optimize existing data infrastructure, and mentor a team of talented engineers. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing best practices for data governance, security, and quality across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using modern big data technologies.
- Lead the data strategy, defining the architecture and roadmap for our data platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
- Optimize and manage cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality standards, and security protocols.
- Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools to enhance our data capability.
- Work closely with Australian stakeholders during AU business hours to ensure alignment and seamless delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or a similar role.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java).
- Extensive experience with big data tools (Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Airflow).
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Must be willing to work onsite in BGC, Taguig on an AU shift schedule.
