Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Python and SQL.
- Design and optimize data warehouse schemas (Snowflake/Redshift) to support high-performance analytics.
- Implement rigorous data quality checks and monitoring frameworks to ensure high availability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Business Analysts to transform raw data into usable, insightful formats.
- Automate complex data workflows using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- Oversee cloud-native data infrastructure and ensure security compliance across all data storage layers.
- Mentor junior data engineers and lead code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Develop and document technical specifications and data lineage for all core business entities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar backend role.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
- Strong understanding of Big Data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Flink.
- Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines for data projects.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and how they consume structured data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
