Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using blueprints, specifications, and historical data
- Analyze project requirements to identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project scope
- Develop comprehensive bid documents and proposals for client presentations
- Monitor project expenditures and provide variance analysis against estimates
- Maintain accurate cost databases and estimation software systems
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials costs, and regulatory changes
- Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement of estimation processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating with medium to large-scale projects
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, WinEst, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Certification in cost estimation (e.g., AACE or RICS) is preferred
- Knowledge of Indonesian building codes and construction regulations
- Proven track record of delivering accurate, timely estimates within budget constraints
