In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the financial success of our construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing proposals, and collaborating closely with project managers and design teams.
You’ll be responsible for reviewing project plans, performing quantity take‑offs, and translating technical specifications into comprehensive budgets. Your expertise will guide strategic decision‑making, ensuring we deliver high‑quality work while maintaining cost efficiency. As a senior member of the team, you’ll mentor junior estimators, drive continuous improvement in estimation processes, and contribute to the development of best‑practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
- Perform quantity take‑offs and material pricing to ensure budget accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and refine estimation methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and precision.
- Mentor and guide junior estimators, providing feedback and training on best practices.
- Review bid proposals and conduct risk analysis to support contract negotiations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or cost planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar estimation software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and deadline adherence.
- Experience managing remote teams or working from home is a plus.
