National University Hospital (NUH) is seeking a motivated (Senior) Executive, Planning & Procurement to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. In this role, you will shape the hospitalâs procurement strategy and be pivotal in driving cost savings, efficiency gains, and value delivery across all operational areas.
You will work closely with clinical, administrative, and finance departments to identify procurement needs, evaluate supplier capabilities, and negotiate contracts that meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with hospital objectives and regulatory standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure quality, costâeffectiveness, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to maximize value for NUH.
- Monitor inventory and supplyâchain metrics, recommending process improvements and costâoptimization initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, government regulations, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to resolve procurement issues and support project initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2â5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplyâchain coordination, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholderâmanagement abilities.
- Detailâoriented with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastâpaced environment.
- Knowledge of Singapore healthcare regulations is an advantage.
