Job Description

Join MINDS as a Senior Executive, Project Management (School) and lead a strategic, multi-year relocation program for our Special Education Schools and Special Student Care Centers. This pivotal role drives planning, governance and on-the-ground execution to ensure seamless transitions for students, families and staff while delivering high-quality facilities that support inclusive education.

As a key member of the Education & Facilities team, you will partner with school leadership, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to define project scope, manage budgets, schedule milestones, and mitigate risks across multiple campuses. You will champion safety, accessibility, and compliance, and communicate transparently with stakeholders about timelines, impacts and benefits. This is a mission-driven role designed to create environments where learners with diverse needs can thrive.

Reporting to the Director of Projects, you will translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, oversee procurement and vendor management, ensure quality controls and change management, and align with MINDS' mission to expand access to inclusive education. You will coordinate with educational specialists, care teams, and local authorities to secure permits and ensure a safe, inclusive environment from planning through to post-move evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end relocation program for MINDS Special Education Schools and Care Centers, including scope, schedule, budgets, risk and quality management.
  • Develop and implement project governance, milestone tracking, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with school leaders, facilities teams, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliant, timely moves.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance for facilities and related services.
  • Manage change control, risk mitigation plans, and contingency strategies to minimize disruption to learners and staff.
  • Ensure safety, accessibility, and regulatory compliance (building codes, accessibility standards, safeguarding requirements) across all sites.
  • Maintain clear stakeholder communications, including families, caregivers, and community partners, with transparent status updates and escalation processes.
  • Lead post-move evaluation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize future relocations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction, Education Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in education facilities, real estate, or government-related projects.
  • Proven track record delivering multi-site relocation or large-scale facilities projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and budgeting tools.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, accessibility standards, and safeguarding requirements for educational facilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English; culturally competent with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are a plus.
