James Cook University is seeking a dynamic and resultsādriven Senior Executive for Recruitment to join our growing Singapore campus. In this role, you will lead endātoāend recruitment initiatives, focusing on identifying, attracting and hiring top talent that aligns with our academic and operational goals.
You will collaborate closely with department heads and senior leadership to understand workforce needs, develop innovative sourcing strategies, and deliver a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to meet current and future staffing needs across academic and administrative departments.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates using a variety of channels, including online databases, social media, recruitment fairs, and referral programs.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, person specifications, and selection criteria.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring progress, timeātoāfill, and costāperāhire.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and represent James Cook University at industry events and campus recruitment activities.
- Stay upātoādate with market trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices in talent acquisition.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional recruitment certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of proven recruitment experience, preferably within a large organization or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of Singaporeās labour laws and employment regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastāpaced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
