Job Description
Join Siltronic as a Senior IT Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and drive operational excellence in our semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will be instrumental in monitoring, supporting, and maintaining our MES infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of products, routes, operations, equipment, recipes, and lot movements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to optimize manufacturing processes, minimize downtime, and maintain system integrity. As a key member of our IT team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional departments to implement MES enhancements, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop comprehensive documentation. Your contributions will directly impact production efficiency, quality control, and compliance with industry standards in a cutting-edge manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize MES model components including products, routes, operations, equipment, recipes, and lot movements
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for MES-related system issues and production disruptions
- Develop and maintain comprehensive MES documentation, configuration guides, and SOPs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement MES system upgrades, patches, and new feature integrations
- Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements for operational efficiency
- Ensure MES compliance with industry standards (e.g., SEMI, GMP) and internal quality protocols
- Lead MES troubleshooting initiatives for production-critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in IT engineering with focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Strong expertise in MES platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, or equivalent) and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and system integration technologies
- Experience with MES lifecycle management including deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Excellent analytical skills for diagnosing complex system issues and implementing solutions
- Certification in MES or related manufacturing IT systems preferred
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with production teams
