Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary R&D projects focused on autonomous systems, industrial robotics, and manufacturing automation from conception to deployment.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced algorithms for robotic perception, navigation, manipulation, and intelligent control.
- Conduct fundamental and applied research, translating novel concepts into tangible prototypes and demonstrator systems.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners and academic institutions, to identify key challenges and co-create innovative solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior research engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Prepare and present research findings, technical reports, and participate in scientific publications and conferences.
- Contribute to securing research grants and developing new intellectual property in the field of autonomous systems and robotics.
- Ensure the robustness, safety, and reliability of developed robotic systems in challenging industrial environments.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in research and development of autonomous systems or industrial robotics.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, with experience in real-time embedded systems.
- Extensive experience with Robotic Operating System (ROS), Gazebo, simulation environments, and various robotic platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of sensor technologies (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) and data fusion techniques for perception and localization.
- Demonstrated expertise in areas such as SLAM, motion planning, computer vision, machine learning for robotics, and control systems.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects, mentoring teams, and delivering impactful research outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
