Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and planning to construction completion and handover.
- Manage project budgets, cost control measures, and resource allocation to ensure optimal financial performance.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local authority requirements.
- Mitigate project risks by proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and developing effective contingency plans.
- Lead project meetings, provide regular progress reports to senior management, and manage vendor/contractor performance.
- Oversee contract administration and ensure all legal and contractual obligations are fulfilled by project partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in project management within the property development or construction sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-density residential or commercial projects from inception to CCC.
- Deep understanding of building codes, construction methodologies, and local authority guidelines in Malaysia.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CIDB or equivalent would be considered a significant advantage.
