Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for engineering materials, equipment, and services to meet operational and project requirements.
- Lead vendor selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to secure optimal terms, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including RFQ/RFP, contract drafting, purchase orders, and supplier performance reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to forecast demand, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to ensure competitive advantage and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships and resolving issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, metrics, and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on engineering or industrial categories.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost modeling and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
