Wawasan Dengkil is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our procurement operations, ensuring seamless material flow from requisition to delivery. You will manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and comparing quotations from suppliers to secure the best value for our organization. Your expertise will directly support our Quality Management System (QMS) and Asset & Business Management System (ABMS) compliance, driving operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a key member of the supply chain team, you will maintain meticulous records, prioritize deliveries to meet production schedules, and foster strong supplier relationships. Your strategic sourcing decisions will contribute to cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Responsibilities
- Manage full procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prioritize and expedite incoming deliveries to align with production schedules and inventory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records, including contracts, price lists, and supplier performance data.
- Liaise closely with suppliers to resolve issues, negotiate terms, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Support the implementation and compliance of QMS (ISO) and ABMS standards within procurement processes.
- Monitor market trends and supply risks to proactively suggest alternative sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, warehousing, and finance teams to streamline supply chain operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within manufacturing or logistics sectors.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Strong analytical skills for cost comparison and data-driven decision making.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of QMS/ISO and ABMS compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
