Etong Aluminium Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team in the East Region of Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our projects, managing complex contracts, and ensuring procurement efficiency from inception to final account.
As our Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide expert commercial support, ensuring that our projects remain within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate closely with project managers, sub-contractors, and clients, playing a key role in the smooth delivery of our construction stages. We pride ourselves on engineering excellence, and we are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a sharp eye for cost-saving opportunities and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of projects, including cost estimation, budget planning, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and sub-contractor agreements to ensure favorable terms.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify work done against project specifications.
- Manage the procurement process, identifying reliable suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing for materials.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments to prevent project overruns and identify potential savings.
- Prepare and settle progress claims, variations, and final accounts with consultants and clients.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably within aluminium or facade engineering.
- Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC).
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple project priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
