In this role, you will work closely with project directors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency, budget compliance, and contractual integrity. You will handle measurement, valuation, variations, and claims while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for construction projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements using appropriate software and standards.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variations, and prepare interim valuations and progress claims.
- Manage the submission and settlement of final accounts, including resolution of disputes.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC) and standard measurement methods.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, QS Pro, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in managing cost control and final accounts for medium to large-scale projects.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
