We are currently seeking a meticulous and results-driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious A1-graded Main Contractor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of complex construction projects, ensuring optimal cost control, and managing contractual obligations from inception to final account settlement.

You will be instrumental in identifying potential commercial risks, negotiating sub-contractor agreements, and ensuring that all progress claims are accurate and timely. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract administration for large-scale construction projects to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Prepare and process accurate monthly progress claims and verify sub-contractor claims to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis, budget monitoring, and cash flow forecasting to identify potential project savings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate sub-contractor agreements, ensuring favorable terms and minimizing commercial risks.
- Provide expert advice on contractual disputes and lead the negotiation process for variation orders and final accounts.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to monitor site progress and align operational activities with project budgets.
- Prepare detailed documentation for tender submissions and support commercial tender analysis.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related building discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in a Quantity Surveying role, specifically within an A1 Main Contractor environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA) and local building regulations.
- Proven ability to manage complex cost control frameworks and multi-million dollar project portfolios.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard QS software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating effectively with sub-contractors and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
