We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and contract administration for high-profile Building or LTA (Land Transport Authority) projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of quantity surveying functions from tender preparation, cost estimation, and contract negotiation to progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. Responsibilities
- Lead cost estimation, tender preparation, and bid analysis for building and LTA projects.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and award processes.
- Prepare and review progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts in accordance with contract terms.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve disputes with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project teams to assess design changes and their cost implications.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual correspondence and documentation.
- Mentor junior quantity surveyors and contribute to team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QS roles within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Proven experience in large-scale building projects or LTA infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of SIA/PSSCOC/LTA contract conditions and measurement standards (e.g., SMM).
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Cubicost, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and financial acumen.
