Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contract Executive to join a leading construction firm in Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire commercial lifecycle of our projects, ensuring accurate cost control, contract compliance, and timely payment processing.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to prepare monthly progress claims, conduct quantity takeoffs, and develop detailed cost estimates. Your expertise will drive effective budgeting and cost forecasting, supporting our commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing progress claims, performing accurate quantity measurements, managing contract documentation, monitoring project costs, and providing expert advice on contract variations. You will also mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly progress claims in line with contract terms.
- Perform precise quantity takeoff and measurement for various work packages.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cashflow forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Administer contracts, including variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve contractual issues.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior quantity surveying staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant construction legislation and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, MyIOQ) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PAM, GCC, JKR forms).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good command of English; Malay is a plus.
