Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle of construction projects, from initial cost planning and tendering to final account settlement.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions while managing variations and claims effectively.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify works for progress claim assessments.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives and conduct feasibility studies to optimize project budget utilization.
- Maintain clear communication with sub-contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure transparency in financial reporting.
- Evaluate sub-contractor quotations and negotiate favorable procurement terms.
- Provide mentorship to junior surveyors and ensure the quality of documentation across the team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the Singapore construction sector.
- Strong proficiency in SIA or PSSCOC forms of contract.
- Deep understanding of local building regulations, pricing trends, and market labor rates.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy in measurement and cost estimation.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., SISV, RICS) is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with diverse project stakeholders.
