As a Senior member of our tendering department, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by securing high-value civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the tender process, from initial cost estimation to final submission and contract award. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end tendering process for large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimations based on project specifications and drawings.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive tender pricing.
- Prepare comprehensive tender reports, cost breakdowns, and technical proposal documents for submission.
- Analyze project risks and opportunities during the pre-tender stage to optimize bidding strategies.
- Attend tender interviews and clarifications with clients and consultants to represent the company's commercial interests.
- Collaborate with the project and engineering teams to ensure tender designs are cost-effective and feasible.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in tendering and cost management for civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations, SIA, and PSSCOC forms of contract.
- Proficiency in Glodon (TAS/TRB), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven track record of winning tenders in the civil engineering or public infrastructure domain.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tender deadlines simultaneously.
