Responsibilities
- Lead ROS-I embodied AI research focusing on multimodal perception and adaptive control systems
- Design and implement reinforcement learning frameworks for robotic decision-making in unstructured environments
- Translate theoretical AI models into production-ready robotic solutions for industrial deployment
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate AI capabilities into physical robotic systems
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier robotics/AI conferences and journals
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate students in AI/robotics projects
- Develop industry partnerships to validate research outcomes in real-world scenarios
Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry/research experience
- Expertise in ROS, ROS 2, and industrial robot middleware architectures
- Strong background in embodied AI, reinforcement learning, and robotic perception
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Proven track record of publishing in robotics/AI venues (ICRA, IROS, CoRL, etc.)
- Experience deploying robotic systems in real-world industrial environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and projects
