Responsibilities
- Prepare, check, and process export/import documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
- Track shipments in real‑time, update internal systems, and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure proper filing for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of customs declarations and ensure adherence to Malaysian customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to align shipping schedules with order fulfillment.
- Handle inquiries from customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
- At least 1‑2 years of experience in shipping documentation, customs clearance, or freight forwarding.
- Solid knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures and international trade terminology (Incoterms, HS codes).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP or shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CargoWise) is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
