As a Software Tester at ST Engineering, you will be responsible for both manual and automated testing across various platforms. You will analyse requirements, create test plans, execute test cases and report results. You will also participate in agile ceremonies, perform regression testing and help maintain test documentation. Your work will directly influence the delivery of reliable, user-friendly software that meets the highest standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Analyse software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration and performance tests
- Identify, document and track software defects using issue tracking tools, and verify fixes
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and resolve quality issues
- Participate in agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit or TestNG
- Prepare and present test reports, metrics and quality status to stakeholders
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools and methodologies to increase efficiency
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably in a technology or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case design and defect lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
