Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including General, Abdominal, OB/GYN, and Small Parts.
- Provide high-quality diagnostic images and prepare detailed preliminary reports for Radiologists.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning process, explaining procedures clearly to patients.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
- Participate in the AHPC registration pathway and complete necessary Qualifying Exams (QE) as provided.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Imaging from a recognized institution.
- Proven clinical experience in Sonography/Ultrasound.
- Strong interest in obtaining AHPC registration and progressing to a Radiographer grade.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and clinical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in diagnostic reporting.
