Are you an experienced SAP professional looking to drive data-driven transformation in a global environment? SCHOTT ASIA IT SERVICES SDN BHD is seeking a highly skilled Specialist – SAP BI/BW to join our dynamic team in Cyberjaya. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and optimizing robust SAP Business Intelligence and Business Warehouse solutions that empower our global stakeholders.
As a key member of our IT team, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical data models. You will be responsible for end-to-end data lifecycle management, ensuring high-performance analytics delivery and continuous improvement of our SAP BI/BW landscape. We are looking for an analytical thinker who is passionate about data modeling, ETL processes, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the SCHOTT group.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SAP BI/BW data models, InfoProviders, and transformations.
- Collaborate with global business stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical SAP analytics specifications.
- Develop and optimize complex ETL processes and data extraction methods within the SAP environment.
- Maintain and enhance existing BW reporting solutions to ensure data integrity and performance efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BI/BW-related incidents to ensure minimal downtime.
- Manage upgrades, patches, and system enhancements in accordance with global IT standards.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for system design, configurations, and user training materials.
- Continuously explore new technologies such as SAP BW/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BI/BW development and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SAP BW modeling, BEx Query Designer, and SAP ERP integration.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, ABAP for BW, and performance tuning techniques.
- Experience working with SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP BW/4HANA is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a multicultural professional environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global, distributed team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
